Ford FICM Repairs
Ford FICM (Fuel Injection Control Module) is a critical component in the diesel engine of Ford vehicles. It regulates the fuel injection system and ensures proper fuel delivery to the engine. A failed FICM can cause a range of problems, from hard starting to reduced power and poor fuel economy.
We understand the importance of a properly functioning FICM and the impact it can have on your vehicle's performance. That's why we offer two repair options. A standard 48V repair and a 58V repair.
Standard 48V Repair for $249
The standard 48V repair is the most common and affordable option for fixing a failed FICM. Our experienced technicians will replace the faulty FICM with a new or remanufactured module that is designed to match the specifications of the original unit. The new FICM will be programmed to the vehicle's original specifications and will be tested to ensure proper function. The repair is 100% plug-and-play and won't require any additional programming.
58V Repair for $325
A 58V repair is a more advanced option for fixing a failed FICM. This repair involves upgrading the FICM to a higher voltage unit, typically 58 volts. The higher voltage allows for a stronger and more stable power supply to the injectors, which can improve the engine's performance and fuel economy. This repair is typically recommended for vehicles that are used for towing or other heavy-duty applications. It may also help in resolving some of the hard start issues. The repair is 100% plug-and-play and won't require any additional programming.
There are several signs that may indicate a failed FICM in a Ford diesel engine. Some common symptoms include:
- Engine cranking but not starting
- Hard starting
- Rough running or misfiring
- Reduced power and poor fuel economy
- Warning lights
- DTC (diagnostic trouble code) may be stored in the vehicle's computer memory
It is important to note that these symptoms can also be caused by other problems in the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or a failing injector.
Don't let a failed FICM impact your vehicle's performance. Contact us today to schedule your FICM repair service.
